A Week to Remember

Getting kids dressed for school or daycare can be enormously stressful on even the best of mornings. A great solution to keep your kids organized and help get them on their way is a Weekday Organizer from Lillian Vernon (http://www.lillianvernon.com/) that hangs in their closet. In the morning when you are bleery-eyed, you don't even have to think about what the kids are going to wear for the day. I also put school work and things to remember in the organizer and it works like magic.

It comes in pink pastel or blue and sells for around $19.00

With Summer upon us, flip flops are the thing to wear. Havaianas are great for kids. They are soft and easy to wear, especially for the first time flip flop wearer. Another comfortable alternative for kid are Reefs. You can get both online or at stores like Nordstroms. They run about $16 and although they are a bit more expensive than their counterparts, the comfort for your kids will ensure that they dont end up in the back of the closet. And they come in super cute colors and patterns. For babies, the Havaianas come with straps in the back.

Cereal Killers

So, your kids are begging you for Fruit Loops but you dont want to give them all of that sugar. What do you do? Barbara's Organic Wild Puffs can help you solve the problem of colorful cereal that looks fun without all of the extras. Made with organic cane juice, kids can have their cereal and eat it, too! You can find this brand at Whole Foods, Central Market and in the Organic aisles of your local grocery store. It runs around $3.00 a box.

Shoe Fetish

Lelli Kelly's are amazing colorful shoes that are beaded and come in many different styles. The high-tops, while they have laces in the front, actually have zippers on the side for easy-on-easy-off. As for the price, they are super expensive at most retail stores, I suggest checking out Ebay or Amazon to get a deal on these shoes. They will become your daughters favorite shoes.

Looking for a diaper solution that wont clog up landfills or make you feel guilty about harming the earth? G Diapers are a great solution. These flushable diapers with stylish covers are beginning to be all the rage. They Pail in Comparison...

Wondering how to store your kids things and still have them look cute? I found that buckets are a great option. Check out these Pottery Barn Kids buckets that you can have personalized and then hang on the wall. They hang well on the wall with a J hook that you can get from any hardware store. I used mine for the bathrooms, personalized with the kids names. Each is filled with their own bath toys and when it is time for a wash down, I just pull the bucket off the wall. Easy clean up and cute to boot!

So, everyone is worried about bisphenol A, otherwise known at BPA, which is found in many plastic water bottles. One trendy solution is to switch to the SIGG water bottles which are environmentally friendly and chemical free. Found them the other day while wandering around at Whole Foods. You can get lots of different colors and styles and they make sippy cups out of the same material. For a greater range than what they have at the store, check them out at http://www.mysigg.com/. They run between $15 to $20. Super cute for kids and hey, they give you peace of mind, too!
